Nhưng khi đối diện với cái chết, điều mà mọi người đều nhận ra đó là những sai trái mình đã mắc phải, tưởng chừng chỉ rất nhỏ nhặt thôi nhưng có thể dẫn đến những hậu quả khôn lường. 9 con ngỡ như không quen biết cuối cùng đều là 1 phần gây ra cái chết đau xót của một thanh niên mới 20 tuổi.

Nội dung "Cop Out" chỉ là hai partner làm việc với nhau mà mỗi người là một thái cực. Jimmy (Bruce Willis) thì nghiêm túc trong khi Paul (Tracy Morgan)thì miệng mồm tiá lia và vì vạ miệng đã đưa đẩy Jimmy vào một tình huống khó xử. Jimmy và Paul đã làm việc với nhau gần 9 năm nhưng tánh xà bát của Paul đã làm cho hai người bị captain cho về vườn ngồi chơi xơi nước. Hai người lâm vào tình trạng khó khăn.

Jimmy trái lại,có vấn đề lớn hơn, ông đã li dị vợ, con gái ở với bà xã. Vưà mất job thì vợ cũ mời ông về nhà bàn chuyện đám cưới con gái với số tiền sơ sơ là... 40 ngàn USD. Lỡ cao hứng nhận sảng, Jimmy thấy mình chưa có giải pháp nào, gia tài chỉ còn một tấm "Baseball Card" rất quí.

Tấm card được đánh giá 50 ngàn đô, ông đã gởi lại nhờ tiệm bán dùm. Thế nhưng, ngay đêm ấy, tiệm bán đồ kỷ vật bị cướp và lấy mất tấm card quí của Jimmy. Hệ thống security nhận diện bọn cướp là tay chân của Poh Boy (Guillermo Dias), trùm băng đảng Hispanic. Anh quyết định rủ thêm người bạn đồng nghiệp của mình đi truy lùng tên trộm to gan đó. Số phận đưa đẩy khiến hai anh chàng vướng mắc vào một phi vụ rửa tiền với bọn gangster và một cô gái xinh đẹp, Gabriela.

Plot in Detail: Barney Ross leads the “Expendables”, a band of highly skilled mercenaries including knife enthusiast Lee Christmas, martial arts expert Yin Yang, heavy weapons specialist Hale Caesar, demolitionist Toll Road and loose-cannon sniper Gunner Jensen.
